From a teenager tinkering with recording gear in New Jersey to playing Florida venues as an adult, in 2025, Kenny was ready to see what happens when he stopped covering only other artist's songs.
Those formative years with gear and recording laid the foundation for what would become his modern day pursuit of music. Now armed with some guitar and keys chops, Kenny has developed tools to unleash his creative vision.
With Kenny and The Commotion, he’s flipping the script and stepping into new creative territory, focusing on original songwriting and fresh musical ideas that blend singer-songwriter storytelling, alternative pop energy, and acoustic soul vibes. The recording is done and 10 new songs will be unveiled in 2026 with the first single dropping in January.
For live performances, Kenny will be joined by talented musicians who bring their own energy and support to the stage—enhancing every show with a sense of community.
As the former frontman of The Grouper Cheeks, and a founding member who continues to occasionally appear with Karate in the Garage, Kenny spent years energizing local venues with celebrated cover performances. Now, after honoring the music of others, he’s ready to share his own voice—inviting audiences to experience an original sound shaped by that journey.
